Actor Jeeva is having the best time in his career so far in Tamil films. His talent as an actor was never in doubt but he wasn’t regularly churning out hit films like Vijay, Ajith and Surya. Now, though, it appears that he is on his way to garnering his own place in the Tamil film industry. His latest film ‘Ko‘ by K.V Anand broke many a box-office records and is still going strong in many centres.
‘Ko‘ incidentally marked a hat-trick of hits for Jeeva whose earlier films in ‘Katcheri Aarambam‘ and ‘Singampuli‘ had also been declared hits. He is presently starring in a couple of films which are nearing completion. One is ‘Rowthiram‘ opposite Shriya Saran and the other is ‘Vandhaan Vendraan‘ opposite Tapasee (of ‘Aadukalam‘ fame).
The audio-launch of ‘Rowthiram‘ was held recently in Chennai. The film pairs Jeeva & Shriya Saran for the first time together on-screen. Jeeva, speaking on the occasion, said that “Shriya Saran is an amaing dancer. Her character in the film is a pretty ‘soft’ and lovable one. Our ‘chemistry’ has come off very well indeed. I’m sure viewers would agree with me as and when the film hits the screens.”
Another actress about whom Jeeva spoke at length in the past was Poonam Bajwa, who starred opposite him in films like ‘Thenavattu‘ and ‘Katcheri Aarambam‘. Poonam Bajwa fizzled out in Kollywood and is now banking on the fortunes of ‘Ethiri Enn 3‘ in which she is paired opposite Srikkanth.
While Jeeva is on a firm ground, ‘Rowthiram‘ is a do-or-die film for Shriya Saran. The actress is fervently hoping that the film turns out to be a hit and bags more film offers in her kitty!
