Seeman has wanted to make this ambitious film “Pagalavan” for more than two years but as fate would have it, he had to go to jail following inflammatory remarks against the central government. Vijay had already given him the nod for the film but now it seems Vijay does lack interests in this script.
Vijay, of late, has moved to class elements from his mass-only approach. He has shunned directors like Perarasu and has been looking forward to working with directors like Mani Ratnam, Shankar, A.R Murugadoss, Abhinav Kashyap, K.V Anand, Hari, etc.
Although Seeman is not as gross as Perarasu, Seeman’s script was about the previous government but when the change in governance happened, it became no longer relevant. Seeman had to alter the script but Vijay kept on suggesting changes.
It is speculated that Vijay is not probably interested in working in Seeman’s Pagalavan and so the film is likely to be dropped. But given Seeman’s political influence and power, Vijay will have to accept the role anyway.
