Filmmaker Vijay’s films always go through the same process as he ensures that his film is a decorous family entertainer sans violence and adult themes. So will be his upcoming release ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ that stars Vikram, Anushka and Amala Paul in lead roles. Loosely based on Hollywood movie ‘I am Sam’, the film has got a new lease of life after UTV Motion Pictures picked up the project.
The film was recently screened for Censor Board members and they were floored by Vikram’s ne plus ultra performance.
‘Deiva Thirumagal’ will have a simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu (titled as ‘Nanna’). G.V. Prakash has contributed a huge share in grabbing everyone’s attention with his smooth mellifluous tunes.
The film has been passed with Clean ‘U’ certificate without any cuts.
Censor Board praises Vikram’s ‘Deiva Thirumagal’
The film ‘Deivathirumagal’ staring Vikram, Anushka and Amala Paul in lead roles has just been cleared by the Censor Board with an ‘U’ certificate which would mean that the film can be watched by everyone irrespective of the age barrier. The film has been directed by Vijay of ‘Madarasapattinam’ fame.
The Censor Board, which watched the film recently, passed the film with few cuts and went on to appreciate the way the film has been made. The film is likely to hit the screens on the 15th of July. Vikram’s character will be that of a person with ‘special needs’. The actor continues to excel in roles which many of his contemporaries won’t even bother to have second look at.
Some Board members, on condition of anonymity, had reportedly even gone to the extent of saying that they were ‘moved’ by the script of the film and the way the director had handled it. The film has been produced by Mohan Natarajan’s Rajakaliamman Medias and has music by G.V Prakash Kumar.
