Actress Nila a.k.a Meera Chopra has complained to the police that she has been getting obscene and vulgar e-mails on her mail. The actress has almost been forgotten by the Tamil audience thanks to her continued absence from films for more than the past two years now. She is occasionally spotted, though, in film-related functions.
Hailing from Punjab, Nila a.k.a. Meera Chopra has complained to the Cyber Crime Branch of the Delhi Police about the various obscene e-mails she had been getting of late. The police are investigating into the matter. After debuting opposite SJ Suriyah in the latter’s directorial venture ‘Anbe Aaruyire’ and starring in a few more films, Nila disappeared from the scene and has been living in Delhi.
She seems to be getting all those ‘objectionable’ mails from a particular e-mail address about which she has informed the police in her complaint. The police, who have registered a complaint and completed the primary investigations in the case, found out that the ‘obscene’ mails had originated from New Delhi as well as in some place in France.
Nila has gone on record stating that she had an ‘idea’ as to who was behind all these e-mail nonsense. “For the time being, I won’t reveal the name but would soon reveal to the media about the identity of those who have been acting in a manner that is detrimental to my interests,” Nila has reportedly said.
