If there’s something which gives more happiness to Vetrimaran than the news of his Aadukalam sweeping the national awards, it is the words of his daughter Poonthendral, who is two-year old.
‘Thiruvalluvar has rightly said in Thirukkural that the word of an infant is sweeter than anything else in this world. I realise this after listening to Poonthendral,’ says the Polladhavan director.
He adds: ‘She is so cute and intelligent. She wants to know many things. I feel it as a gift to spend time with her.’ On Aadukalam winning six national awards, he says, ‘It is the victory of team work.’
Vetrimaran is currently gearing up to direct a film titled Vada Chennai. ‘It will throw light on the lives of people living in north Chennai. I am a great lover of the capital city of Tamilnadu and I reflect it in my films.’
