Some months back, ‘Kadhal’ Saranya made headlines for having done the ‘disappearing act’ with her family complaining to the police of their missing daughter. It’s all become a thing of the past now as the actress returned home soon after her ‘hiding’ made headlines. Whatever was the difference of opinion she had with her family has now been reconciled.
Back to work in Kollywood, Saranya is a relieved girl as she has just completed the entire shooting schedule of her upcoming film ‘Mazhaikaalam’. Though she played the heroine’s friend in ‘Kadhal’, her role as one of the five heroines in the ‘Jeyam’ Ravi starrer ‘Peraanmai’ fetched her good name as the movie-goers started taking note of her acting credentials.
In ‘Mazhaikkalam’, she would be romancing Sriram, who had earlier debuted as hero in the film ‘Koothupattarai’. “The film is an emotional and intense love story and I’m more than confident that the film would be my ticket to bigger things in Kollywood,” says Saranya.
Director Deepan adds that the film has a ‘realistic’ angle to it as the story is based on a real-life incident. The film has music by Johnson, a popular Malalayam music director who has so far worked in more than 300 films. The climax is said to have moved Johnson so much that he hugged Deepan and admitted that he had ‘never come across a climax’ in all the films for which he had scored music.
