Actress Asin is all excited as she is gearing up for the release of her Hindi film ‘Ready’ this Friday. The actress is visibly tense even as she shuttles between the many cities in the country for the pre-release publicity and promos in connection with the film’s release. Incidentally, this would be Asin’s second film opposite Salman Khan after the failure in ‘London Dreams’.
Asin feels that her Tamil fans will patronize ‘Ready’ in a big way as it’s a remake of a Telugu blockbuster of the same name which had Ram and Genelia in the lead. The actress denies that the film is a frame-by-frame remake of the Telugu original and insists that veteran director Anees Bazmee has made the relevant changes in the script so as to make it suitable to Salman Khan’s image.
“We Indians generally love family sentiments and feel-good movies a lot. ‘Ready’ is one such film and I’m sure it will also be a big hit down here in South as well,” says Asin who watched the Telugu version long before the Hindi version was planned. “I liked the film but hadn’t any idea at that time that I’d be starring in its Hindi remake,” smiles Asin.
Bollywood sources say that she has signed up her next film opposite the ‘King’ Khan (Shah Rukh Khan). Asin neither confirms nor denies the report. When quizzed as to when she would be seen in Tamil the next time, she says, “I liked the script of Vijay’s Kaavalan and immediately took it up. I’m glad that our combo worked for the third time after Sivakasi and Pokkiri. As and when I get an exciting offer, I’d immediately sign along the dotted lines,” concludes Asin.
