Director Vijay is credited with giving actor Aarya one of his most significant and successful films with last year’s ‘Madarasapattinam’. The film, which had the pre-Independence days as its backdrop, was very well crafted by Vijay who won the viewers’ hearts by the way he had successfully ‘recreated’ the old Chennai in some sequences in the film.
Amy Jackson, a British national, paired up opposite Aarya in the film, which appeared to have been surprisingly left out by the Jury when the national awards for films were announced recently. Vijay’s delicate directorial touch of inter-weaving a romantic story between a common Indian and a royal British girl won him many fans besides making the film a success at the box-office.
The director is now gearing up for his next release ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, which has Vikram, Anushka and Amala Paul in lead roles. The film is expected to hit the screens in a couple of weeks from now. In the meantime, Vijay is said to be planning another film with Aarya in the lead. Aarya, who is awaiting the release of his next film ‘Avan Ivan’ which co-stars Vishal and has been directed by Bala, is presently starring in Linusamy’s ‘Vettai’.
After completing ‘Vettai’, it appears that Aarya would commit himself to doing Vijay’s film. The script of the film hasn’t been revealed but it is highly likely that the same technical crew, which worked for ‘Madarasapattinam’, would be roped in by Vijay. The heroine and other actors would be selected later, is is reported.
