Looks likes threats have become a daily affair for Vadivelu ever since the elections results were announced. The comedian, who came down heavily on Vijayakanth during poll campaign, is now at the receiving end from DMDK activists, it is said.
Following this, Vadivelu’s advocate has lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu, seeking protection for his client. The counsel also demanded action against those behind the threats.
Meanwhile, a 30-member gang allegedly threatened the security guard of a farmhouse owned by Vadivelu near Padappai on Monday evening. According to police, the group members told the security guard to vacate the area, since the farm house was on poramboke land.
Speaking to reporters recently, Vadivelu said, ‘He (Vijayakanth) should stop sending his partymen to my house. He should act as a responsible leader. People have not voted for him, but only in support of the AIADMK and Amma.’
