Young Superstar Simbu is riding high on the success of his recent release ‘Vaanam’. According to the trade reports, the film is doing well much better than the original version ‘Vedam’ that received mixed reviews. Much impressed with the making style of ‘Vaanam’, director Krish has received calls from Bollywood to remake the film. With few portions of ‘Vettai Mannan’ and ‘Poda Podi’ completed, Simbu is now ready with his next project ‘Osthi’ that happens to be a remake of Salman Khan’s blockbuster movie ‘Dabangg’.
The film is directed by Dharani and is produced by Balaji Telefilms Pvt Ltd with Former Miss India turned actress Richa Gangopadhyay starring opposite Simbu in female lead role. Jithan Ramesh will play the role of his step-brother with Nizhalgal Ravi & Revathy as their parents. The villain actor for the film is yet to be confirmed and Thamman S will score music.
Dharani, maker of blockbuster movies ‘Dhill’, ‘Dhool’ and ‘Ghilli’ is wielding megaphone for the film. The film was launched this morning in the presence of film crew and Simbhu’s father T. Rajendran.
