Actress Genelia De’Souza rubbishes comparison with contemporary actress Asin and says that she is ‘leagues ahead’ of the actress from Kerala, as she had been to Bollywood long before Asin went there and had delivered some ‘significant’ hits there.
Genelia is presently shooting opposite Vijay in his upcoming film ‘Velayudham’ as one of the two heroines, the other one being Hansika Motwani. Speaking to newsmen during the break, she informed that she has a handful of Hindi films on hand including ‘It’s My Life’, ‘Force’ and ‘Hook Ya Crook’. She said she never thought of any actress in any language as her competitor.
“Plenty of films are made in different languages and heroines are debuting every week. I only consider my previous films as my ‘competitors’ as I always to improve upon my earlier performances. I’m often asked whether I’m competing with Asin. As a matter of fact, I have been in Bollywood long before Asin debuted here and I have given some significant hits here.
“I look for challenging roles in all my films. I hardly have the time to ready about and react to all those rumours doing round about me. The media has got me ‘married’ more than once. It’s a fact that I have many friends but I’m not in love with any of them,” concludes Genelia.
