Shruti Hassan’s latest-known talent has been her ability to design the costumes of the clothes she wears in her films. The girl, who appears to have elements like beauty, intelligence, luck and popularity in her favour, is a versatile talented artiste and easily stands out from her contemporary heroines. Shruti known singing, music composing, lyric-writing, dancing and to top it all, she’s an actress with immense potential.
She can slip into emotional as well as glamourous roles with consummate ease, point out observers. She debuted in Hindi films in 2009 with ‘Luck’ which later turned out to be very ‘unlucky’ for her. Her Telugu debut also was equally disastrous at the box-office. Yet, the clothes she had designed for herself in both the films didn’t go unnoticed for the novel way she had done it.
Shruti pins a lot of hopes on ‘7am Arivu’, her debut film in Tamil opposite Suriya and directed by A.R Murugadoss. As always, she designs her own clothes for this film too and has earned praise from professional costume designers who opine that the quality and style of Shruti’s designs match the ones in Hollywood.
This has come as a much needed encouragement for Shruti, who has become more determined to continue to design her clothes in her successive films as well.
