Her stare at Jai in the hit film ‘Subramaniapuram’ (2008) not only pierced Jai’s heart but also made many Tamil youths skip their heartbeats. Swathi, who made a grand debut in Kollywood as the heroine in Sasikumar’s ‘Subramaniapuram’, didn’t find any exciting offers coming her way after the film.
Swathi, though, is quite busy in Telugu films. In between her shooting schedules, she has also been able to find time to hone her other skills like playback singing. The actress has sung a song in an upcoming Telugu film which is already climbing up the music charts.
Swathi’s song ‘A Square B Square…’ is one of the eight songs composed by music director Devi Sri Prasad for the film ‘100 percent love’ starring Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna in lead roles. The film has been produced by Naga’s father and actor Chiranjeevi’s Geetha Arts and directed by Sukumar.
The audio of the film was launched at a recent function held at Rock Gardens, Hyderabad. On the eve of the launch, Swathi revealed that it was actually Prasad’s idea to make her sing as she was a reluctant singer. Swathi hopes that it would more likely be a on-time affair and that she won’t be forced to take up playback singing as a profession. Swathi also dubbed for Ileana in Jalsa.
