That Sonakshi Sinha (daughter of Bollywood star-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha) would be debuting soon in Kollywood in a film opposite Kamal Hassan is a well-known fact. What is new, however, is the fee that has reportedly been finalized to be paid to her for starring opposite Kamal Hassan.
The film has been titled ‘Viswaroopam’ and would bring together the mercurial director Selvaraghavan and Kamal Hassan for the first time. The title of the film was ‘officially’ confirmed by the director-actor duo yesterday.
Sonakshi, who debuted in Bollywood as Salman Khan’s heroine in the super-hit movie ‘Dabbang’, has become the ‘next hottest thing’ in Bollywood after Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone as leading heroes vie with each other in pairing opposite the Sinha Jr. Sonakshi would be paid a whopping Rs.2 crores to star in the film, it is reported.
The Bollywood babe reportedly demanded Rs.2.5 crores to star opposite Kamal, who is 35 years senior to her. Selvaraghavan had a chat with her and brought ‘down’ her fee by half-a-crore. Selvaa, who has completed making ‘Irandaam Ulagam’ starring his younger brother Dhanush and Andrea Jermaiah in lead roles, has started the preparatory work of ‘Viswaroopam’.
The film will be produced by ‘Ascar’ Ravichandran.
