‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ (OKOK) would be director M. Rajesh’s third directorial venture after his successful outings in the earlier films in ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Bass Engira Baskaran’. The director appears keen to score a hat-trick with OKOK, which stars proucer-distributor Udhanidhi Stalin in the lead opposite the ‘hot’ Hansika Motwani.
While many top heroines reportedly refused to pair up opposite the high-profile Udhayanidhi (son of deputy chief minister Stalin), it was Hansika who lapped up the offer at once. Sources close to Udhayanidhi say that Hansika had been ‘promised’ a hefty sum as her fee once the shooting schedule is completed.
The shooting of ‘Oru Kal Oru Kannadi’ is scheduled to commence in the first week of March, as Rajesh and Udhayanidhi shot for ‘test sequences’ in many locations. Udhayanidhi would be playing the role of a band-man, part of the orchestra team which precedes the marriage procession on its way to the marriage hall. The legendary MGR played the role in his hit film titled ‘Kudiyindha Koil’
Hansika, who plays Udhayanidhi’s love interest in the film, is looking forward to the release of her first Tamil film ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’ opposite ‘Jeyam’ Ravi. With Rajesh’s speed in making his films a known fact, Hansika shouldn’t be surprised if OKOK releases first!
