Director Vasanthabalan’s ‘Angadi Theru’, which released early this year and ran to packed houses in many halls in the State for more than 125 days, was screened at the ongoing Goa International Film Festival and according to sources, the film earned lots of appreciation from the audience as well as the jury.
Staring newcomer Mahesh and a not-so-popular Anjali, the film ‘Angadi Theru’ earned rave reviews from the print and television media. The film, about the lives of salespersons in malls, had a bit of a tragic end to it but was well-received by the public. Produced by Aingaran Films International, ‘Angaade Theru’ is said to have neutralized the losses suffered bythe production house in its earlier ventures.
The annual Goan Film Festival is observed with lot of interest and is considered as an event of pride by the industry folks. At the 41st International Film Festival held in Goa recently, ‘Angadi Theru’ was screened and earned kudos from the dignitaries who had assembled at India’s ‘most sought after tourist spot’ to attend the film festival.
Vasanthabalan, who had tastefully made the film, took part in the film festival!
