Despites such big releases of Tamil movies, distributors and theatre owners have placed more hopes on English movies and its dubbed versions as they feel it yields better results than any others. Previous week’s release ‘Due Date’ produced by the makers of ‘Hangover’ is doing good business at box office irrespective of Diwali releases.
This week will have some of the most happening Hollywood movies hitting screens that include – Social Network, Skyline and Devil.
‘Social Network’ has already made high waves in USA standing as No.1 on global charts. It’s about a youngster spending 6 years of time that made him the youngest billionaire across the globe. The film’s tagline reads – You Don’t Get To 500 Million Friends Without Making A Few Enemies.
The film is directed by David Fincher, who earlier made the famous Hollywood movie Fight Club. Since the film is based on ‘Facebook’, it’s turning to be more excitements amongst the Chennaites as there are so many geeks here.
The other release is sci-fi thriller titled ‘Sky Line’ that is released with more prints here. Since it’s an universal release the film will have more audiences drawing in. Remember last year, Hollywood’s ‘2012’ was released on the same Friday of November 12, 2009.
Finally, it’s ‘Devil’ written and produced by Night Shyammalan. Directed by John Erick Dowdle, the film revolves around 5 people trapped inside a life. As the situations get horrific, they learn that one amongst them is a devil.
