There will not be a ‘premier’ show to superstar Rajni’s upcoming film Enthiran, which is gearing up for a grand release worldwide this Friday (1st October) in over 3,000 movie halls.
Sun Pictures usually doesn’t encourage premiere or press shows of the films produced and distributed by it. Vishal, when his ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ was released by Sun Pictures early this year, pleaded with it in vain to arrange a special show for presspersons.
When Vishal demanded that he be provided with at least ‘one print’ which he would be screening at his own expenses for the journos, his request went unheeded. However, with Rajni, Sun Pictures had to remain flexible.
When Rajni said that he wanted a copy of the ‘print’ of the film to arrange for a special screening, Sun Pictures agreed to his request with a pre-condition that the film shouldn’t be screened much prior to its actual theatrical release. Rajni accepted the demand of Sun Pictures and as such, the ‘special screening’ has now been slated for the night of 1st October.
