Jiiva and Karthika (daughter of yesteryear’s heroine Radha) had a miraculous escape in Norway during the shooting of ‘Ko’, the upcoming venture of cinematographer-turned-director K.V. Anand. The crew had been shooting in the European nation for the past few days.
Tamil film crews, which frequently visit some foreign country or the other, get into some sort of trouble from time to time. This has been on the increase for the past few years. The latest incident has been the trouble faced by the cast and crew of K.V. Anand’s ‘Ko’ which stars Jiiva and Karthika, daughter of yesteryear’s successful heroine Radha, in the lead.
The film, also starring Ajmal and Piaa Bajpai in lead roles, was being shot in the picturesque locales of Norway. While filming a particular song sequence involving 20 artistes and the lead pair at a hilly area in the South of the countryside, the crew was suddenly struck by hailstorm which descended on them from nowhere.
Even before they realized what had hit them, they were caught up in heavy snow that was falling on them. The lead pair and the technicians and dancers were caught up snow, not knowing how to wriggle themselves out of it. The news was passed on to the authorities and an SOS was sent after which personnel of the Norwegian Army came to the spot and rescued them after a 3-hour long grueling struggle.
The crew was airlifted by a helicopter and taken to a safe place. Only after landing in a safe location did the crew get back its breath!
