India would soon be on the Formula 1 map meeting the expectations of millions of fans in the country.
The FIA released the calendar for the 2011 season on Wednesday. The 2011 season will have 20 races as against 19 this year. India has been identified as a prosperous market as there are millions of fans following Formula 1, Karun Chandok driving for HRT and Dr. Vijay Mallya owning a Formula 1 team.
Now with the introduction of an Indian Grand Prix, the Formula 1 fever is expected to rise in India. The Indian Grand Prix will be held on October 30, 2011 subject to the homologation of the circuit.
The Formula 1 track for the Indian Grand Prix will be built in Delhi.
