Sounds peculiar, isn’t? But it is something more factual as we heard it straight from the producer himself. It was a speech of similitude as producer Sasikanth of Y Not Studios as he compares his style of choosing unique scripts with the bird.
Says Sasikanth: ‘In 1928, Gandhiji made his visit to Tamil Nadu and questioned Anna Durai about Tamilians not speaking in Hindi. Gandhi said – “Hindi is practiced all throughout the Country and why that is your people aren’t used to it.” Apparently Anna replied, “Even crows are found in plenty, but Peacocks are spotted rarely. But still, it has been acknowledged as our National Bird.” Similarly, I am search of Peacocks that aren’t found everywhere, but has its great value.’
Producer Sasikanth came up with such explanation when he was questioned on his choice of making newfangled-n-unconventional films like ‘Tamizh Padam’ and upcoming release ‘VA Quarter Cutting’.
