There were reports some time back that director A.R Murugadoss has tied up with the Indian movie arm of Hollywood’s 20th Century Fox to produce films in south Indian languages.
Even as there are no further updates on the association between the filmmaker and the Production Company, sources have it that Murugadoss has now decided to float a production firm on his own.
“The first production venture of Murugadoss will be directed by Saravanan, one of his longtime associates. It is a double hero subject and the script will be totally different, which is something new to Tamil cinema,” sources say.
Attempts are being made to rope in Jai and ‘Kalavani’ fame Vimal to play the protagonists, sources say and add: “Murugadoss, who is currently directing Suriya for 7am Arivu, will make a formal announcement on his production venture soon.”
