Producer Muraliraman, who has completed the shooting and the audio-launch of his upcoming film “Patta Patti”, is keeping his fingers crossed these days. The film marks the entry as hero in Kollywood for former India and Tamil Nadu opening batsman Sadagopan Ramesh. Ramesh had earlier played a brief role as ‘Jeyam’ Ravi’s brother in the film ‘Santosh Subramaniam’.
Muraliraman, who is about to release the film, is said to be looking for someone to sell the film off so that he would be out of the ‘risk’ elements involved in releasing a film. As if to meet his expectations, producer-distributor Udhayanidhi Stalin recently watched “Patta Patti”. Udhayanidhi was said to be very, very impressed by what he saw.
To Muraliraman’s query as to whether he would be taking up the distribution of the film, Udhayanidhi is said to have told him that he would come back to him soon with a ‘positive reply’. Muraliraman’s heart is now flying, albeit at a low speed, at the prospect of his film getting the publicity and distribution range from a big shot as Udhayanidhi.
Queries revealed that Muraliraman had earlier worked as a production executive with Jaya TV. This might make one wonder as to how could he be getting help from Udhayanidhi, the scion of the DMK’s first family! Does art ever mix with politics?
