Manush Nandhan, son of writer Gnani would soon be debuting as cinematographer with the film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kalaignar’s grandson. Nandhan reportedly learnt the nuances of cinematography from noted cinematographer Ravi K. Chandran,
Director K.S Ravikumar, speaking at the film’s audio-launch, introduced Nandhan. Taking the mike after the director, Nandhan said that he would like to change his identity as Gnani’s son and would like to be known for what he possessed. “I would like to make a name for myself by displaying my prowess in my chosen profession,” said Nandhan.
One wonders how Gnani would feel by the way his son is debuting in a film made by the grandson of Kalaignar, whom he hasn’t been sparing in his criticism in his various columns for popular weekly magazines. Come to think of it, would he be saying that his profession was to write and his son’s profession was to shoot?
