The complete schedules of ‘Ethirmarai‘ has been completed and is now getting ready for next month release. Meanwhile, director G. Arun has been screening the film to various personalities in K-Town and is winning their rave review.
Throwing some lights on this film, G Arun has said, “Now a days it has become a rare thing for a psychological thriller to be released in Tamil. This thriller film had depth and deals with psychology, hypnotism and memory loss. This film is about a CBI officer who investigates a murder. Since it is a tough job to make the audience in a thriller film, we have concentrated very much on the story. We made a lot of research and gathered lot of informations. I screened this film to my friends’ director Radha Mohan, ‘Poo’ Sasi, ‘Eeram’ Arivazhagan and Cheran. All of them send in one voice that they have never seen a thriller film like this in Tamil. I never wanted leading actors to act in this film. All are new faces. Ajay Kumar and Rakesh have fitted the role of CBI officers. Banushree who had acted in Telugu film Varudu is doing the female lead role in this film. This is the only old face acting in this film. We for the time have started using Red One camera in this film in India. In the similar way we have used the Phantom camera for a fighting scene and a song sequence. This camera can record 1000 frames per second. This camera has been used in Hollywood films like Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.
The music is composed by Murugan Mohan. He is the brother of Anuradha Sriram. Vairamuthu has written five songs. Rajeevan’s CBI office set is excellent. This film will be a new experience for the audience.
