With most of this year’s films turning to be a mere disappointment, the recent releases seems to have been sailing on safer boat. Of course, the summer vacations have incisively flocked for audiences for almost all the films that had hit screens in March.
Gowtham Menon’s ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’ that opened up during last week of February had a great opening during first three weeks. However, as the summer vacations kick-started by second week of March, the theatres screening this film have gone house-packed.
On the pars, Vasantha Balan’s ‘Angaadi Theru’ has come up with better results as it won rave reviews amongst all media channels. Karthi-Thamannah starrer ‘Paiyya’ opened up last week on April 2 and has proved to be a sang-froid entertainer that makes the audiences it’s worth watching to kill the time.
Jeeva’s ‘Katcheri Arambam’ seems to be more fortunate as the audiences of single screens and down south prefer watching it for the commercial elements. Maybe, Sundar C’s both the releases ‘Vaada’ and ‘Guru Shishyan’ is likely expected to make a great opening at right season.
Finally, it’s Vijay’s ‘Sura’ that will make an enormous blow with finest bonanzas as family audiences always prefer to watch his movies.
