What is in the name, goes saying… However, giving a name to a project is equally a big task as that to making the film.
After playing musical chairs with several titles, Priyadarshan has finally settled over one, for his forthcoming hard-hitting film. His next film titled ‘Garam Hawa’ had generated enough curiosity for its subject on honour killing in Bihar and the director had tough time choosing a title.
The film which stars Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu had been sticking with the title ‘Garam Hawa’ for sometime. But of late there was another change of plan and the film is now renamed ‘Aakrosh’.
According to Priyadarshan, they wanted to call the film ‘Garam Hawa’ as homage to M.S. Sathyu’s classic film of that name. But unfortunately, Mr. Sathyu was not impressed with the idea and the team dropped the title.
For ‘Aakrosh’, they got the original Aakrosh’s director Govind Nihalani’s permission and he had been very generous about it.
Meanwhile, the director has got his hands on different projects, for which he is working round the clock. Besides ‘Aakrosh’, Priyadarshan has ‘Khatta Meetha’ and an AIDS film. The filmmaker is also planning to give a movie based on love and lust of the youth for which he will cast newcomers along with Prateik Babbar.
