Veteran director K Balachander, Kamal Haasan, Union Minister Nepolean and South Indian Film Artistes Association secretary Radha Ravi among others called on Sarath Kumar at his residence in Chennai and enquired about his health.
The Nadigar Sangam president sustained a fracture while performing an action scene riding a horse for his maiden Kannada venture ‘Sarathy’. He has been advised by doctors to be on rest for at least three weeks.
On hearing the news, his peers and well wishers have been calling and visiting Sarath, wishing him a speedy recovery. “Even some top politicians enquired about the health condition of the All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi president,” sources say.
Meanwhile, the shooting schedules of ‘Sarathy’ and the actor’s ambitious K S Selvaraj directed ‘Vidiyal’ have now been postponed. ‘Vidiyal’, which has Sneha opposite Sarath for the first time, is jointly produced by Giriguja Films International Pvt Ltd and RRR Movies, a banner floated by Sarath.
