The emergency meeting of the South Indian Film Artistes Association will be held in Chennai on Tuesday.
The meeting to be presided over by Sarath Kumar will discuss among various issues the necessary action to be taken against several actors and actresses, who did not turn up for the protest organized by Nadigar Sangam last Friday.
According to sources in Nadigar Sangam, ‘several of the artistes have given explanation letters for their absence. It would be discussed. Besides we are contemplating to discuss on the Karnataka filmdom’s decision to ban release of Rajinikanth‘s films in future in the neighboring State’.
It may be recalled that the Karnataka film industry has ridiculed Rajinikanth for taking part in the protest organized by Tamil film fraternity and issued orders to boycott screening his films in Karnataka in future.
