Bodyguard is a 2010 Malayalam romantic comedy film written and directed by Siddique. Dileep and Nayantara play the leads in the film. It represented Nayantara‘s comeback to Malayalam films after a gap of four years, and the first time that Dileep had worked with Siddique. Popular choreographer-director Prabhu Deva choreographed the song sequences. The film released on 23 January 2010. It has been remade into Tamil as Kavalan with Vijay and Asin. It is also being remade into Hindi as Bodyguard once again with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, both directed by Siddique himself. This movie was a super hit. A Telugu remake is being filmed with Daggubati Venkatesh and Trisha titled as Ganga. It is also being remade into Bengali as Bodyguard with Shakib Khan and Nipun. The Telugu and Bengali versions have another director.
