The Sri Krishna Pictures debut production Thittakudi has a farmer’s assistant as hero. Debut director Sundaran says, “ I was looking for a suitable new face and found this boy who was a farmers assistant in the village. He was very afraid to act but I convinced him.” The film is about the love of a mason and his assistant and is set in a drought prone area. Ravi is the hero and Aswatha is the heroine. “I wanted a Tamil speaking girl,” stresses the director.
The film’s music is by Selva Nambi, a new face, along with newcomer Karuppiah C who handles the camera.The film is set in villages never seen on celluloid before.
