Sri Nataraja Arts, Milagai as the name suggests is going to be a spicy film set in Madurai with a host of interesting characters. The director is Ravi Mariya who acted in Mayandi Kudumbathar and last directed Asai Asai.
Nutty, the cinematographer who is also producing the film is the hero while Poongodi, heroine of Mayandi Kudumbathar is his co star along with Suja. This is Suja’s attempt to project herself as an actor instead of doing the staple item songs she usually does. The film also has Mariya’s assistant director Ponds as a deaf and mute man in a very comic role while director Jagannathan has an important role in the film. The talkie portion is complete and some songs remain to be shot. Nutty or Nataraj is the famous cameraman of Bollywood with hits like Love Aaj Kal, Jab We Met and others to his credit. He was last seen in Chakravyuham as the hero. “Nutty never interfered with our camerawork and just did his scenes as hero,” praise director Ravi Mariya. A climax action scene on the national highway by supreme Sundar is a highlight of the film. A 1960’s type song shot in Kodaikanal is another highlight. The entire film was shot in 55 days in Madurai. The unit is optimistic that the film is going to be a hit.
