Films and politics go hand in hand in TN and so it’s no surprise when an actor shows interest in joining politics. Recently there was a big brouhaha over Vijay joining a certain party after which the actor issued a statement that he was not into politics for the time being.
Now actor Suman has expressed interest in joining politics. After receiving the state award as best villain for Sivaji he feels he wants to do something good for the people of TN from where he started his career. “I am already a Telugu Desam party worker in Andhra,” says Suman who is a big name in Tollywood and has played many God roles too there. “Not now, but after a few years I may join politics. I am impressed by the way the Congress party is encouraging young talent and even making them ministers. The party has many innovative medical schemes for the poor in Andhra.
I like the way they give equality to men and women in the party. All this impresses me. If this party or any other continues to do good work even some years from now when I plan to enter politics, then maybe I will join that party. But I have not decided right now. My passion is cinema for the time being.”
