Putting an end to a guessing game whether he would act or not in Mysskin’s direction, Kamal Haasan said on Sunday that the “historical movie” would go on floors soon.
Speaking on the sidelines of the audio launch of his forthcoming film ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, the versatile actor however said a film in his direction would be his next venture as Mysskin’s movie required research work, which would take some time.
“I would direct my mentor K Balachandar for my next movie. I am also penning the script and screenplay for it. It will go on floors before this year-end,” he said. On Mysskin’s film, he said, ‘the works are on for it. Since it involves some extensive research, we propose to start it after my movie with KB”.
Heaping laurels on his daughter Shruthi Haasan, who has composed music for ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’, Kamal said, “I am happy and satisfied as both producer and father. I was like any other anxious dad waiting to listen to his daughter’s creation. She qualified herself well before taking a plunge into the field and Shruthi has given songs that are really good”.
Urging Tamil film industry to utilise technology properly, Kamal said, “Technology has grown leaps and bounds. Tamil film industry should utilise it. Not just in film-making, but also in other areas like marketing and distribution”.
