The Film Employees Federation of South India is conducting the All India Film Employees Conference after a gap of 30 years in Chennai from Oct 9th to 11th. The highlight will be the conferring of the Agila Ulaga Thiraipada Sadhanaiaalar Award on the TN CM, Kalaignar Karunanidhi for his immense contribution to cinema from the age of 17 till date.
Revealing more details, FEFSI chief VC Guhanathan said, “Cultural programmes and seminars will be held during the meet which will bring together 1.5 lakh film employees from across the country. A highlight will be a grand musical show with performances by leading singers and music directors like AR Rahman, Illayaraja, Mani Sharma, Vijay Antony, Devi Sri Prasad and many others.”
FEFSI’s Welfare Association Fund will use the funds collected to build a school and a hospital for FEFSI employees.
