Vikram and Shriya were in Mexico City doing a salsa song for Susi Ganesan directed Kanthasamy. The song is going to be one of the major highlights of this action adventure movie the song Mama Mia…, is tuned by Devi Sri Prasad and picturised on Vikram, Shriya and hundreds of local Mexican dancers .Vikram, it seems impressed the local dancers, who were bowled over by his fast movements.

Indrajith, elder brother of Prithviraj and a popular actor in Malayalam is making his debut in Tamil with Vikram’s Kanthasamy.

Indrajith is the elder son of late Malayalam actor Sukumaran and actress Mallika Sukumaran who chucked his job as a software engineer to act in films. He paired with his brother Prithviraj Sukumaran in several films including the 2006 blockbuster Classmates. He also acted in Santhosh Sivan’s first Hollywood movie Road to the Top.

Known for exposing her alluring looks and not more in acting, Shriya Charan had her course of problem with Director Susi Ganeshan. Shooting for the film Kandasamy had commenced before three months and they weren’t able to shoot in the deep-rooted forests of Kenya due to civil war problems.

Now back to Chennai, the team had its shooting recently at MRC Nagar with the team consisting of Vikram, Shriya, Director Susi Ganeshan and cinematographer Aekamabaram. This was an actuallyan intimate scene where the heroine kisses Vikram. Shriya had kissed him for couple of times and she had to outburst with anger when the director demanded for one more take. Broken out with more angriness she walked out of the sets, saying she cant go for one more take. Now this raised a big question mark whether she would sustain in the film or get out of it???

When it comes to costumes film stars go to any extent. This has been proved right once again. Generally, actors and actresses from Kollywood go to Mumbai for their costumes. But, for Kandasamy, Vikram and Shriya will be setting a new trend by hiring costumers from Bangkok.
According to director Susi Ganesan, costumes for a movie will depend on the storyline. But the hero and heroine can wear any type of dresses in song sequences. That’s the reason for setting our eyes on Bangkok, said the director. Logical thinking!

Kanthaswamy (2008) is a forthcoming high budget Tamil film directed by Susi Ganesan. shreya has decided to cut her hair for the film n also she has taken martial arts training with the martial arts master MUKUND.Its been confirmed that Vikram and Shriya Saran are the lead actors in the movie. Vivek, Santhanam and Raghuvaran play other roles. The sources close to the unit say that Vikram dons the role of Robin Hood in the film. Upon release, it will be subsequently dubbed into Telugu as Mallana. The producer has given the film a marvellous opening by making a sophisticated invitation card for the opening ceremony of the film. The so called invitation itself has a LCD screen, which displays a 8 minute trailer of the movie “Kanthaswamy”. “This is a different idea which Hollywood even did not think about” says Kalipuli S. Dhanu. The team has shot a special video for this trailer and it is said that a single invitation card costs Rs. 15,000 ($375).
