Kamal Haasan in Hollywood Film

Winning laurels across far-flung corners of the globe with his Dasavatharam, Kamal Haasan has lots of offers from the World renowned Directors. At the moment, he has been approached by Bharath Bala Productions that produced A.R.Rahaman’s musical album ‘Vande Mataram‘ and ‘Jana Gana Mana‘. Hollywood’s Walt Disney is also expected to join hands for the production works and the film is titled as 19 steps. The film directed by Bharathbala himself is set at the backdrops of Kerala in 9th Century. Japanese Film Superstar Thadanobhu Asaano plays the important role in the film. Jakkubhai to hit floors today

Followed by the grand success of Dasavatharam, K.S Ravikumar is ready to gear up with his ‘Jakkubhai‘. With pre production works and selection of exotic locations in the world being done, shooting for the film will start tomorrow. R. Radhika Sarath Kumar produces the film under the banner of Raadan Media Works. R.D.Rajashekar takes care of camera works for the film while Rafique scores music. Subramaniapuram sold out for Rs. 1 Crore

None would have expected that Sasikumar’s debut directorial would earn him so much of reputation throughout the places. Wedged with its release between big tickets of Dasavatharam and Kuselan, the film has stunned the entire tinsel town leaping with big collections of around 10 Crores profit. Witnessing the grand success, Tollywood producers have now approached Director-Producer Sasi Kumar to get remake rights in Telugu and it has been sold out for Rs. 1 Crore.

No Story in Dasavatharam - Says Bharathiraja

Director Bharathiraja, who changed the way cinema is made in Kollywood, at a press meet held at Trichur recently said that Tamil cinema is undergoing a different phase without good stories.

He said Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam concentrated only on using the latest technologies and did not story. Lack of good scripts are more prevalent in both Tamil and Malayalam film industry. Read the rest of this entry »
