Thuppaki is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film written and directed by AR Murugadoss, which will star Vijay as an encounter specialist, alongside Kajal Agarwal, with Vidyut Jamwal, Jayaram, Sathyan, Gautham Kurup and Akshara Gowda in supporting roles.
Vijay is playing a youngster from a Mumbai-based Tamil family in ‘Thuppaki‘. The name of his character is Jagadeesh. The happy-go-lucky man’s life undergoes a sudden turn. The decisions he takes after that is the rest of the story.
It is produced by S. Dhanu and it features background score and soundtrack composed by Harris Jayaraj, also the cinematography is handled by Santhosh Sivan. The film, which commenced in early December in Mumbai, is slated for a September release.
