Some people are allergic or have intolerance for milk, milk products and wheat, wheat products but go through life without ever realizing this and keep suffering from acute gas trouble. Lactose intolerance (from milk) is being recognised in the west as also gluten intolerance (from wheat). Hence giving up these two things may greatly benefit you. Instead of wheat you can have rice or chapatis of maize, jawar or bajara.

Golden rules for people suffering from gastric problems:
Avoid heavy (fried), spicy food. Do not eat very large meals, instead eat small meals.
Try to eat a little, every 2 hours, so that the gap between the meals is not too big.
