Chitra, Mano to entertain South African Tamils today


Popular playback singers KS Chitra and Mano would be enthralling a capacity crowd at an auditorium in Durban, South Africa today evening (01st June) as they would be singing along with other noted singers at a musical concert arranged for the Tamils residing in and around the nearby localities.

Organized by Logu Innisai Geetham, the concert is to be held in a gigantic auditorium which has the capacity to seat 20,000 spectators. Locals say that the live concert is being awaited by them with great interest for the past many weeks. Now that the day has finally come, they are extremely excited.

Most of the proceeds from the concert would be spent in treating patients affected by cancer and AIDS, it is informed.

Logu’s team, which was started in 2001, has so far conducted close to 3,000 concerts and is to conduct the Mano-Chitra concert through live instruments for which fifty musicians have been separately flown in from Chennai.

Other than KS Chitra and Mano, others who would be at the venue to sing include Suchitra, Rahul Nambiar and many others.
