Zillion Wishes for Chocolate Boy!
He is a stud of charm and talent. When Mani ratnam didn’t sign him for the role that was enacted by Prakash Raj in Iruvar, the versatile filmmaker saw this young chap walking down the stairs with sang-froid. Apparently, this pushed ahead on roping him in for the lead role in Alaipayuthey.
Madhavan had no turning back and even today albeit his few flicks on count has managed to retain his status. The tag of ‘Chocolate Boy‘ didn’t let him brew over it, but he leaped with a colossal performance of taking up challenging roles, event to the extent of playing negative roles. His prodigious spell in ‘Evano Oruvan‘ still remains as a top-notch showpiece from his store.
If you’ve felt it’s been a long time you saw Madhavan, don’t miss to watch Vijay Awards this evening that features him as the master of ceremony.
Maddy, as he is fondly called, turns 43 today!
Born on June 1, 1970, Madhavan celebrates his 43rd birthday today and it’s bound to be all about quality time with family. The actor, who took a sabbatical in 2010 to travel, get fit and get some ‘me’ time, has chosen not to take on too much work in recent times. In fact, his only releases last year were Jodi Breakers in Bollywood and the Tamil film Vettai. He isn’t filming for any projects at present either.
Looks like this talented star has decided that his acting will be limited to the occasional television commercial; he promotes real estate, jewellery and more. It’s certainly a loss for the film industry for Maddy is a hugely talented actor, having won awards for his performances in Kannathil Mutthamittal, Anbe Sivam and Run. Madhavan, who made his debut in the mid-nineties with uncredited roles went to carve a niche for himself in memorable films such as Minnale, Alai Payuthe and the comedy, Nala Damayanthi. In Bollywood, he has to his credit films such as Mumbai Meri Jaan, Teen Patti, 3 Idiots and Tanu Weds Manu.
His fans will be hoping that Maddy will return soon to the screen. Here’s wishing the smart actor a very happy birthday.
