3. Shahrukh Khan says “I am waiting”

When Shahrukh Khan gave the award to Vijay, he called Vijay on stage by saying “I am Waiting”, the crowd went into a frenzy. Shahrukh Khan poured adulation when he called Vijay a “Good Boy” and called him a better actor and a dancer.

2. Ajith shows his “mass” without participating in the event

When Shahrukh Khan recounted his working relationship with Ajith in “Asoka“, he said he never knew how big a star Ajith was. The recorded decibel levels reached the peak for the night as Shahrukh Khan could not continue his speech for a while as fans did not stop clapping for a long time.

1. Vijay and Shahrukh Khan shakes their legs for “Google Google”

Not many times, people will get to witness Vijay and SRK sharing the same stage. This is one of the rare moments which will go down as the most memorable moment for Vijay Awards. Vijay and SRK’s camaraderie surprised the attendees as they reported to have left the after-awards party together in Vijay’s Rolls Royce car.

Miss of the Night

The big miss of the night was the poor air conditioning facility as Shahrukh Khan and many other participants were fully drenched in sweat. SRK took it sportively by making fun of Chennai heat and threw away his jacket as he began to dance with kids and Vijay. Apparently, Vijay awards organizers did not anticipate the level of crowd participation as energy levels spiked up in the room generating a lot of heat.

Interesting Quotes

Dhanush when he accepted the award from Vijay said “This year, he was thrilled to receive two awards — one is “Vijay Award” and the second is “Vijay Sir” award.

Another quote that got tremendous applause was when Shahrukh Khan said “I may be the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL cricket league, but my favorite team is Chennai Super Kings”.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay said “An actor better than me is sitting in front (Referring to Dhanush) Vijay also added that he is eagerly waiting for Dhanush‘s Mariyaan.

Dhanush in his tweet account had to say this regarding Vijay‘s compliment

And my special thanks to vijay sir for his generous words.he is anyday a better and bigger star.

Indha vaatti rendu vijay award. Onnu vijay award onnu vijay sir award.

Its worth mentioning that Vijay won the Favourite Hero Award and Best Entertainer Award for His Nanban and Thuppaki whereas Dhanush won the Best actor Male for his ‘3’.

The Bollywood Baadshah, King Shahrukh Khan was also present in the Annual Vijay TV Awards awarded Ilayathalapathy with the Favourite Actor Award and complemented him saying “Vijay was a far better actor and Dancer compared to him”.

Shahrukh Khan praises Ajith!

Shahrukh Khan and Ajith had acted together in Santosh Sivan‘s Asoka more than a decade back and the two still share a healthy relationship. SRK recently said that Ajith and his wife are very sweet and that he didn’t know that Ajith was such a big star when they acted together.

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan openly confessed that he never knew that Ajith is such a big personality down here in South. The actor was present herein Chennai to attend the Vijay Annual Awards to receive the Chevaliar Sivaji Ganeshan Excellence Award.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “I met Ajith for the first time while shooting for Santhosh Sivan‘s Ashoka. He never took any remuneration for performing this role and he is such a good chap.

His wife is so sweet and he had injured his back bone at that time and we spoke for 5 days. But I realize how big star he is down here as I hear the unceasing applause when I utter his name.”

It is worth mentioning that Ajith and Shahrukh Khan have some significance as the remake of Amitabh Bachchan‘s Don and Rajnikanth‘s Billa were remade at the same time by these stars. Also Shahrukh Khan maintained a long hair in Don-2 that is much similar to Ajith‘s short time look in Paramasivan.
