Vijay’s new Tamil film titled ‘Thalaiva’
Tamil actor Vijay’s upcoming romantic-thriller finally has a title. It is called “Thalaiva” and its tag line reads – “Time to Lead“.
“Vijay‘s new Tamil film has been titled ‘Thalaivaa‘. Director AL Vijay, Vijay and the producer have unanimously zeroed in on the title,” said a statement from the production house.
The first leg of shooting was completed recently. The second schedule will start March onwards in Spain.
“The cast and crew will travel to Spain after 50 days non-stop shoot in Mumbai, where two songs and three fight sequences have already been filmed,” added the statement.
Amala Paul is paired opposite Vijay in the film, which went on floors in December 2012. It also stars Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Suresh, Mano Bala and Abhimanyu in important roles.
The title song “Thalaivaa Thalaivaa” was recently shot in Mumbai in the presence of 500 junior artists.
Vijay and Santhanam do number for ‘Thalaiva’
Actor Vijay occasionally does numbers for his movies. The numbers sung by Vijay have turned megahits.
After a long gap Vijay did number ‘Google Google’ for movie ‘Thuppaki‘. The number received tremendous welcome amidst fans.
Following success of number in ‘Thuppaki‘, Vijay has done a number for movie ‘Thalaiva’ directed by AL Vijay. This time, comedy actor Santhanam has joined hands with Vijay for the number.
The music composition is by GV Prakash Kumar. It is reported that the number has come out very well.

Thalaivaa title undergoes change?
AL Vijay’s next film with Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead was named “Thalaiva” and the first look was released creating a wave among Vijay fans.
The music of this film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar while Nirav Shah handles the camera and Anthony does the cuts. When the title was announced as “Thalaiva” (Leader), buzz was that the film is based on politics and Vijay’s political career will be triggered by this film.
Following AL Vijay and Vijay refusing on this context, latest news is that the title “Thalaiva” might be renamed. There is no official confirmation yet, but sources indicate that discussions are going on regarding the same.
