In Lucknow on Sunday for a professional engagement, Leone was all charm as the photogs rushed to capture her whle the scribes shot questions at her non-stop.
“Who says Jism 2 did not work?,” she asked with a smile, adding, “I think it was the best thing that happened to me. The film has given me a fabulous start in Bollywood, and I’m not complaining. In the days to come I hope to do much more work here.”
Indeed, Bollywood has been far more generous to Sunny Leone than even Hollywood, she informed. when asked if she had ever tried her luck there, Sunny Leone said, “Oh, I did do a couple of films in Hollywood, but honestly, they were not much. In fact, they did not give me even a fraction of the exposure that I gained from Bollywood.” And now, with another film of her’s in the offing, Ragini MMS 2, it sure seems that the Indian film industry is treating this particular foreign import right.
In fact, there were reports of Shekhar Suman planning to approach her for a film he is planning with son Adhyayan. And even though Sunny is yet to hear from him, she says if the script appeals, she would more than love to do the film. And the reason is: “I got so much love on Pooja’s sets. There was nothing that made me feel apprehensive, in fact everybody seemed to be keen to teach me the Indian way of acting. It was wonderful.”
And so, Sunny Leone is keen to pile her plate with more Bollywood offers, never mind if the films aren’t exactly A-grade ones. Sunny Leone flew to the defence of her directors saying, “Who calls these films B-grade? They are A-grade for me. they have given me such a great platform.”
