Kamal Hassan, actor, Chairman of FICCI-MEBC, said that Oscar-winning producer Barrie Osborne of the Lord of the Rings trilogy will address a session on producing a film at the FICCI Media Meet scheduled on October 16 and 17 in Chennai.
The two-day media conclave will witness noted filmmakers including Singeetam Srinvasa Rao, Rohan Sippy, Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla besides himself will be involved in screenwriting workshops at FICCI Media conclave.
Scores of national actors and media professionals including Mohanlal, Mammooty, Dileep, Jairam and Shobana will be part of the two-day event which will also commemorate 100 Years of Indian cinema.
Various sessions on modern film-making will also be held during the two days, he said.

Kamal Hassan, the chairman of the entertainment arm of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry announced that the annual convention will be held on October 16th and 17th this year. The topic chosen for discussion is 100 years of Indian cinema and the milestones achieved all these years apart from new ideas and innovation to be introduced hereon. The future of music, television and animation will also be discussed in this convention.
The event is planned on a grand scale and several stars including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Jayaram, Shobana and others have given their assent to participate in the convention to show their support.
