How Vikram Prabhu turned Bomman in Kumki?

Thanks to director Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki, Vikram Prabhu, grandson of thespian Sivaji Ganesan makes his cut in Tamil cinema.

Though his grand father (Sivaji Ganesan) and father (Prabhu) were big stars, Vikram Prabhu’s entry to cinema was not easy. Guess how he managed to get his act in Kumki?

Says Prabhu Solomon, the director of the film, ‘I wanted to find the right man to play ‘Bomman’ in the movie and was looking for some one who was at least 6 feet tall because the elephant was quite huge.’

‘I came to know from a friend that Prabhu’s son Vikram was looking for an ideal launch and that’s how things moved’.

Prabhu Solomon admitted that he was a little apprehensive before meeting Vikram Prabhu but once he saw he decided he was the man for Bomman.

  1. Will Vikram Prabu and Dulquer act together :

Vikram Prabu’s Kumki is not yet released. But the demand for the grand son of our Chevaliar is on a very high. Immediate after the audio release the news was that he would be working on the remake of Sattam Oru Iruttarai a 1980 super hit film directed by SAC.

But for reasons unknown he did not take up that project. He is very careful in making his next move and the latest development is that he would be doing a film with EE Saravanan. The latest development is that the directors duo JD-Jerry are planning to rope in Vikram Prabu son of Actor Prabu and Dulquer son of Actor Mamooty.

Both of them know each other since their school days hence they would certainly enjoy this project. But still things are not yet confirmed by the directors who had given Ullasam with Ajith and Vikram in 1997.
