Actor Ajith has been in the news for the daredevil stunt sequences he has reportedly performed in his upcoming film Billa-2. The film is a sequel to his own hugely successful Billa (2007) which was incidentally the remake of a film of the same name which starred super-star Rajnikanth and released in the early eighties. It was a run-away hit and put Rajini firmly on the road to (super)stardom.
Though it’s a sequel film, Billa-2 won’t kick off from where Billa ended. Instead, the film would trace the origins behind a commoner David, born and brought up in typical middle-class surroundings, turning into one of the most dreaded dons in history. Ajith has beauty queen Parvathy Omanakuttan as his heroine in the film which also has the sexy Bralizian beauty Bruna Abdullah playing a prominent role in the film.
Chakri Taloti, who made Kamal Hassan’s Unnaipol Oruvan more than two years ago, is directing Ajith in Billa-2. The film’s music by Yuvan Shankar Raja has made the film’s album as one of the most anticipated albums in recent times. Ajith has reportedly performed a daredevil fight sequence standing on the edge of a high-flying chopper in a single take. The sequence could well turn out to be the mose loved moment in the film.
“Thogh I took a risk in filming the above sequence, it’s a fact that I was paid to do so. I’m thankful to Stephen Richter, the german stunt choreographer, for making the scene look so realistic. More than me, our brethren in the Indian army deserve many accolades and appreciation as they toil it out on the borders of our country with neighbouring countries without any incentive other than salaries. I feel they are the real heroes.
