Nayantara is back and is enjoying all the attention she has been getting from the industry folks. The actress recently split from her beau Prabhu deva after a long period of courthip of more than three years. She had earlier taken sanyas from films stating that her charater of Sita in the Telugu film Sri Rama Rajyam would be swangong in her acting career.
Sri Rama Rajyam, released last year, had a successful run of 100 days in most parts of Andhra Pradesh. The film is now coming to Tamil in ids dubbed version. Popular Tollywood star Balakrishna plays Lord Rama in the film and is paired opposite Nayantara. The actress reportedly underwent ‘severe restrictions’ in food habits to keep herself ‘clean’ while portraying the role of Sita.
With Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s musical score to back them up, the producers are hoping for a repeat of the film at the box-office in Kollywood. The dubbing work had been started long back and is in the proecess of completion, it is stated. Popular playback singer Chinmayi might dub for Nayantara in the Tamil version, it is revealed.
Officially, this would be Nayantara’s first on-screen appearance in Tamil after the Prabhu deva episode. She has a few projects in Tamil including Telugu star Gopichand‘s Kollywood debut film and an untitled project opposite Ajith to be directed by Vishnuvardhan.
