The cast and crew of director Selva’s 25th film Naanga were literally over the moon . Produced by Cinema Kottagai, the movie begins in 1980 and ends in 2011.
The reason for their joy is that the cast and crew including director Selva had the fortune to meet super star Rajnikanth and Kamal Hassan.
From Santhana Bharathi’s son Sanjay Krishna and playback singer Mano’s son Sagar to music director Vasu Rao’s son Munish and production manager T V Sasi’s son Varun, the film has a plethora of new faces.
Kasthuri is back in Naanga
Kasthuri, a popular heroine in Tamil cinema once, settled to do character roles and was seen shaking her leg for an item song in Thamizh Padam.
She is back after a break to play a pivotal role in director Selva’s Naanga. Denying rumours that it is a ‘steamy’ role, she says it is a challenging character and she enjoyed working in the movie. A teenage boy falls in love with me and how I make him understand his mistake is the crux, she adds.
The movie has five stories in one film and one such story features Kasthuri and a newcomerUday, says the director. Plans are on to release the movie this December.
