Controversial film ‘KARUNGALI’ gets ‘A’ Certificate

It looks like certain filmmakers in Kollywood, who didn’t have a better spell to boast off have a blind idea of making their comeback with controversial films. Director Kalangiyam becomes the latest one to join the bandwagon for his upcoming release ‘Karungaali’ that marks his comeback in Tamil film industry is reported of having explicit adult contents.

Censor Board Officials had deleted more scenes and muted the profane words with an ‘A’ certificate. The film stars newcomers Seenu and Asmitha in lead roles besides Anjali and Sunitha Varma.

When asked about the censor board’s decision with A Certificate, director Kalangiyam mentioned that the members were impressed with his decent way of delineating the love making scenes and indeed requested few shots to be deleted. Initially, topmost actresses like Sneha, Padmapriya, Bhoomika and Meera Jasmine were approached for the role of a married woman. As they refused this controversial role, the offer switched over to Sunitha Varma.

    Director Kalanjiam’s tamil film Karungali is being dubbed in telugu as Sathi Leelavathy 2012 and will be released soon..

    The film is about a prevailing issue where the director has dealt with a different theme.Cheenu & Anjali are playing the lead roles,while Srikanth deva has scored the music..

    Kalanjiam who is also making his debut as an actor through this film has rechristened himself as Prabhakaran..
